The Naxals are just a bunch of everyday Indian citizens who feel the State has failed them... they are not a bunch of terrorists and shouldnt be branded the same as they have been in the past... Policy makers do have to wake up and realize that the threat of internal terrorism is very real... the blasts around the country cannot all be Pak-funded!! The Naxalite movement is just the most powerful reminder of how suppression of the common man can lead to violence.

Naxals are the products of State apathy towards the poor tribals and the rural folk who were marginalized by the Indian society. While the State reaped benefits from their land exploiting the mineral ores these people were left behind while others prospered. To make matters worse for the Naxals in India, the Indian government is not willing to talk to them and address their grievances. Are the Naxals worse than the corrupt Indian politicians?
